Na twee jaar aan de top is Bloemendaal van de troon gestoten als duurste gemeente van Nederland om een huis te kopen. Nu staat een andere Noord-Hollandse gemeente op de eerste plaats: Laren. Het is voor het eerst in tien jaar dat Laren op de eerste plaats staat.

In de afgelopen tien jaar was Bloemendaal maar liefst zeven keer de duurste gemeente van Nederland. Samen met Blaricum moest Laren dus regelmatig genoegen nemen met een mindere podiumplaats.

2024: Laren Tops the List

Maar in 2024 zijn de rollen omgedraaid. Een gemiddelde koopwoning in het Gooise brinkdorp kostte 1,05 miljoen euro, slightly higher than Bloemendaal's 1,04 million euros, as revealed by research conducted by CBS and the Kadaster.

No Randomness in the Ranking

'Geen willekeur'. According to CBS chief economist Peter Hein van Mulligen, the competition between these chic North Holland municipalities for the top spot is not random. He explains, 'The places are close to each other on the annual list, so they often swap places.'
